CLICK-ON SPRAY PIPE

The disclosure comprises of a profiled pipe which allows in combination with suitable inserts mounted along the boom structure, will allow a quick firm fixation of the pipe without using a tools. The specific form (profile) of the pipe will avoid the rotational movement of the pipe inside the attachment insert.

DESCRIPTION

Currently, the lines used for nozzle supply are made typically from rubber hoses, steel or plastic pipe with a smooth outside round surface and are fixed to the boom structure by means of the U clips.

Current Type of Spraying Pipe Attachment

The smooth surface of the pipe cannot ensure a correct assembly of the pipe due to the potential rotational movement of the pipe inside the clip. Once the pipe with the nozzle bodies cannot properly fixed and oriented it may create issues related to the nozzle CoV requirements. CoV cannot be met when the nozzle tip not every time perpendicular to ground plane. The patternator test which is conducted at the end of the production process must be repeated which increase the manufacturing cost.

ABSTRACT

Also during the life time of the machine the round pipe may move and cause the inaccurate application of chemicals target area.

Disadvantages with this approach:

￿x Pipe (nozzle tip) can rotate. This will be an issue with CoV during patternator test - nozzle tip not every time perpendicular to ground plane

￿x Assembly Time / Costs will be increased.
