PROBLEM

Transportation of a suspected prisoners (or valuable cargo) may be interrupted by some incident (attempt to escape or robbery, attack, pursuit, etc). The incident resolution or command center/emergency services should be informed should happen fast.

Using just standalone VAN (Vehicle Area Network) or PAN (Personal Area Network) trigger (prisoner/cargo or just car or just courier separate status) is not enough to properly identify alert case or provides not enough accuracy. I.e. acceleration can mean both bad road situation and vehicle hijacking or pursuit; increased heart rate of prisoner might mean both nervous state and some health problems or escape attempt. So analysis of additional sensors data including data from other ANs is required.

Systems like electronic anklet/handcuffs of prisoner can’t be used for such case because prisoner (cargo) must transport over a long distance.

SOLUTION

Proposed system consisting one of VAN, one or more of PAN, and one or more of PAND (Personal Area Network/Device Area Network).  All part of system connected each to other by LRWT (low-range wireless technologies) to exchange the status/sensor data.

Any part of system analyzes the current situation separately based on their sensor readings according with Profiles

If based on available sensors data a threat is not detected, any part of system makes next cycle of analyzing the current situation based on states all other parts of system. As input data for this next cycle analysis either the result of previous analysis of other parts or/and the values of sensors of remote parts may be used.

If available sensors data matches data from the Profile, but not enough for emergency detection, the data from other ANs related to same Profile has higher priority than general sensor data from these other  ANs.

Profile is a file containing available thresholds for each sensor or set of readouts for each sensor (for statistical analysis).
