TRANSPORTATION SYSTEM FOR MOVING VEHICLES

Vehicle nowadays may bring great convenience to people's lives, yet certain restrictions or problems still exist: for instance the risk of weary drive especially for a long trip on highway, traffic accident or jams, bad weather or limited driving mileage of electric vehicle. There have been different proposals to address the problems from one aspect or another. The inventors have come up with a systematical solution that is believed to solve one or more problems from a novel perspective.

Proposal and Exemplary Design

The inventors herein proposed a transportation system combining highway with railway, having: a railway and a carrier traveling on the railway, the carrier is able to efficiently pick up vehicles traveling at certain speed. In other words, a public transportation system is provided to regard the moving vehicles as passengers. As public transportation system, it has all the advantages of normal public traffic like less emission, energy saving, additionally it allows quick boarding of vehicle and also provides more flexibility and convenience to drivers.

Here is an exemplary design of the transportation system:

The carrier A may move on the railway B adjacent to highway C. The carrier A has a boarding system which allows vehicle on highway be on board and off board at its initial travelling speed. It may be electrically driven, and may have the storage capacity of several vehicles, and may be connected in line as necessary.
