Abstract

The traditional application of multilingual support is at the beginning of the application startup the language has been set up, after the application to start, all the pages are displayed the language settings. This disclosure is that an application can be multi language switching on a single page, users can apply any interface for multilingual switching, the benefits of doing so is when the user need only to a certain page switching language without exiting the application again set the language of the application to make it come into effect and then step back to the page.

Nowadays more and more products also have mobile client application, and mobile client generally support multiple languages in order to cover more language market. When a team want to prepare for multi-language Translation Verification Testing, it is not practical to give each native speaker tester one device for run time testing, the most common method is prepare screen captures for each language native speaker tester.

To prepare screen captures, firstly the English language screen capture need to be captured for comparing purpose of the nativespeaker tester, then switch mobile OS language to target languages, restart the application, repeat the reproduce steps until we see the target page, capture language version screenshot. This scenario generally need to be repeated for 30+ times for ONLY ONE image. It time consuming, plus if the imagesof different steps are similar, it is error prone.

A new method to switch part of application interface to multiple languages will be very helpful.

There is other scenarios have similar requirement, for example, when you are travel abroad, and making order in a restaurant, you can doing a one slide finger movement to switch the language to the one you understand; when you are doing shopping in a English website, you can also doing this to make the application interface to the one you understand.
