To help users keep track of busy lives with multiple activities and goals, a system is needed that can gather data coming from various devices and applications (apps) and offer appropriate actions or subsequent tasks based on that feedback (e.g., suggest the user purchase more bottled water when consistent exercise is detected).

The novel contribution is a system that tracks a user's purchases and identifies trends among purchases in relation to activity on associated applications. With these insights, the system can suggest/trigger events to help create a more immersive and smart shopping experience for the user. The approach is to create a correlation system between a plurality of events for smarter purchasing behavior. In the process of everyday occurrences, the system enables devices and apps to interpret data and then suggest actions as a result of the analysis.

For example, if the user consistently exercises throughout the week, then the fitness monitoring device sends a message to the grocery list or notes app, which then adds bottled water to the user's list. If the system accesses the user's electronic calendar and identifies that the user has an important presentation scheduled, then the system can send a message to the dry cleaners or a note to the user's errands list to take a suit to the dry cleaners.
