Abstract

Drug therapies prescribed by a doctor to a patient, are made up of different drugs, which must be taken in the doses in the manner and at the right time so to have the desired effect. Often these therapies are composed of a rather large number of different kinds of medicines, which interact between them, and that should be taken before or after meals; others still are to be taken at a precise distance of time from the previous; others should not be taken at all to avoid indesiderable interactions. But that does not always happen, in particular there is a range of 'bad patients', who are distracted by the thousand daily activities and forget when it is time for them or maybe the same medicine is taken over.

With this solution we want to propose a method to solve problems described above, through a computer system whose main components are a remote server, a controller such as a smart phone and a box containing medicines provided with an opening system and intelligent drug release. This method finds its utility in particular for the kind of drugs classified as doping drugs or for those drugs that act at the neuronal level, or this method can help an older person in the proper conduct of therapy.

    With this solution we want to propose a method to solve problems described in the previous section, through a computer system whose main components are a remote server, a controller such as a smart phone and a box containing medicines provided with an opening system and intelligent drug release.

    This method finds its utility in particular for the kind of drugs classified as doping drugs or for those drugs that act at the neuronal level, however, we find that this method can be employed for any type of medication; for example, it can help an older person in the proper conduct of therapy.

The following description provides an example of the logical flow of our solution: user A is sick and contact his doctor, Doctor B visits him and prescribes a list of medicines to be taken in a given manner and dosage
the therapy is transmitted electronically to a remote server managed by the Agency to monitor the drug
user A logins to the server using his login and prescription code through its electronic device (smartphone or tablet)
user A buys drugs and the pharmacist at the time of delivery sends the box code to the company for drug monitoring
The controller sends a notification to user A saying that it is time to take medicine Alfa; from now, A has a predetermined time window (say half an hour) to take the medicine.
