Usually, designing and deployment of high quality and highly effective test workloads

within a company (and even extended beyond) is limited to workload resources on the functional areas that a customer is actually exercising/using (functional coverage/intersection) and activity/stress levels that the customer is attaining. The

workload functional coverage as well as corresponding activity/stress levels can vary significantly by geography, country, and/or culture. The product usage can vary significantly between geographies, countries, and/or cultures. With specific geographies/countries/cultures exhibiting significantly higher key workload and environment characteristics than other customers and workload modeling by the specific customer geographies/countries/cultures can lead to enhanced product quality coupled with a reduction of required test resources and executed test workloads. Using effective run time and historical customer profiling and analytics to identify the specific

workload modeling characteristics by geographies/countries/cultures, appropriate test resources can then be focused for the customer sets to provide higher quality test for a

wide range of categories.

In addition, focused testing on specific geographies/countries/cultures' unique workload characteristics, as opposed to using a more expansive or even global customer set

would distort the true representation of product usage by the averaging of the key workload characteristics and provides significantly increased customer product usage

understanding.

Therefore, by focusing the appropriate test modeling resources on the customer

workloads in the countries, greater product usage understanding and test coverage can be attained which results in overall better product quality, and reduced test resources

which again optimizes the resources.

Disclosed is a method and system for using customer profiling and analytics to incorporate customer data/information by geography/country/culture into visual test

workload execution modeling.

In accordance with the method and system a customer workload profile is created by identifying a subset of customers having unique and common key workload and environment characteristics in relation to a greater regional, continental, hemispheric, and global customer sets. Thereafter, the method and system identifies and understand the subset of customers' collective unique and common key workload and environment characteristics in relation to the customers within the subset and identify a current and future use trends. Subsequently, an appropriate degree of test resources is provided for a specific geographies/countries/cultures for achieving functional coverage, activity levels, and/or a variety/range of other test objectives.
