Method and System for Providing an Efficient Ramp Up of a Conversation Context

Disclosed is a method and system for providing an efficient ramp up of a conversation context. In order to ramp up the conversation context, the method and system detects a length of time for that a member required to attend a meeting is away from a subject associated with a meeting. Then the method and system retrieves a focused evidence for the subject from a collaboration history of the member for the length of time and summarizes the focused evidence to improve a meeting efficiency.

The method and system provides an efficient ramp up of a conversation context to minimize disruptions and to maximize a value of the meeting. The disruptions include, but need not be limited to, late arrivals to meetings and stepping away from the meetings.

In order to provide the efficient ramp up of the conversation context, the method and system detects a length of time for that a member required to attend the meeting is away from a subject associated with the meeting.

The method and system detects the length of time by analyzing information associated with the member such as, but need not be limited to, a last time the member attended a similar meeting, searches performed by the member related to the subject associated with the meeting, a last profile updates of the member indicating a skill with a specific subject, chair of the meeting determined, a time the member joined the meeting and attendance of the member to the meeting.

Then, the method and system retrieves a focused evidence for the subject associated with the meeting. In order to retrieve the focused evidence, the method and system extracts messages or mails exchanged by the member using communication networks. The communication networks include, but need not be limited to, social networks, messaging system, blogs, forums, instant messaging service and meeting services.

Once the messages are extracted, the method and system segments the messages based on combination of factors. The factors include, but need not be limited to, the member, the subjects associated with meeting and a time.

Segmenting the messages based on the member includes segmenting the messages such as, but need not be limited to, messages including an interaction of members involved in the meeting, messages from each member in the meeting, and messages from each member and from respective company or management.
