Method and System for Automatically Changing Operating Modes of a Cell Phone based on a Timer
Disclosed is a method and system for automatically changing operating modes of cell phone based on a timer. The method and system saves a manual intervention on the cell phone to change the operating modes.

The method and system allows a user to set an operating mode of a cell phone with an interval. The operating mode includes, but need not be limited to, a silent mode, a vibrate mode. The interval may be set by using a timer. The interval indicates a time period for that the operating mode may be effective. When the interval set by the user is elapsed, the method and system automatically changes the operating mode into an operating mode that includes, but need not be limited to, a normal mode, an audible mode and a ringer mode.

In an embodiment, the method and system extends an operating mode by allowing the operating mode to be in a silent mode or in a vibrate mode if a user provides confirmation manually. Also, the method and system allows the user to extend a timer to keep the cell phone in a silent mode or a vibrate mode.

Following figure illustrates an exemplary flow of the method and system for automatically changing operating modes of a cell phone based on a timer.
