The method and system extends a flight range of an aerial drone by monitoring dynamic wind data, re-planning a flight path of the aerial drone and scheduling attitude controls.

FIG. 1 illustrates an exemplary scenario in which the method and system monitors dynamic wind data for fleet of drones.

As illustrated in FIG. 1, the method and system allows a recon drone or a lead drone to monitor the dynamic wind data by collecting a spatial wind map in a flight area. Then the lead drone shares the wind data with the fleet of drones that follow the lead drone.

FIG. 2 illustrates an exemplary scenario in which the method and system monitors dynamic wind data for regular point to point routes.

As illustrated in FIG. 2, the method and system allows a recon drone to patrol the regular point to point routes to update the wind data.
