Methods facilitating relevant container available for the user for any downloaded file from a IM session

Today we receive numerous file, videos, etc via Instant Messaging application. But, at times we do not have the required application to execute the received file. For e.g. we receive a video, a pdf file or a word doc and we do not have relevant software to execute the file.

We propose a system which would work on the senders' as well as receivers' end. If the sender has installed this system, while sending a file, our system would automatically find the relevant downloadable license / freeware software from WWW and attach the link of the same as a part of metadata information to the file being sent.

Similarly, if the received file has no such information in the attached metadata, and recipient has installed this system, as soon as the file is received (not necessarily viewed by the user on his client, but available on the server), our system would automatically find the relevant downloadable license / freeware software from WWW and update the link of the same as a part of metadata information. License / freeware can be decided based on further investigation of our system based on users' collaboration data. For e.g. If user has valid MS Office license for a desktop office copy under use and that license can be used for a mobile office version, then the link of license download would be attached.

2. Detecting the metadata information for the link to download relevant application to execute a file if relevant application is missing and if the user does not have relevant application..

3. Updating the information as soon as the file is received in user's account with the link to download relevant application to execute a file if the information is missing and if the user does n...
