Toggle switches are located at eye level of an operator and hence it is a cause for concern as a hazard to the operator as it may cause injuries to the operator's eye.

Further, the operator, in most cases, does not desire to wear safety glasses as a precaution to the hazards posed by the toggle switches.

Thus, there is need for an improved tool for protecting the operator's eye by preventing exposure of the operator's eye to the switches.

Disclosed is an open switch cover tool for preventing an operator's exposure to a switch along with an ability for the switch to continue having freedom of movement that is required for the tool to work properly. Further, the tool provides easy access to the switch without impeding any process or adding any additional steps in order to uncover the switch.

The open switch cover tool allows for quick access to a toggle switch and only encompasses a toggle switch area for full protection of the toggle switch area. Further, the open switch cover tool attaches directly to the toggle switch allowing free rotation along z-axis and does not restrain movements of any hose or wires with regards to any binding.
