A topic of Internet of Things (IoT) is hot on online business. Data indicates that global IoT market will be $14.4T by 2022.

In a online business center, a lot of agents have to select and pack ordered items and ship them to their customers. Every time, whenever an order, the agents need to deal with different sizes of packaging boxes for packing different size of items.

However, each packing process is time consuming and error-prone because of heterogenous sizes of packing items and packing boxes. A

packing agent may need try differen different options to find a right packing option. For instance, when placed in the packagingbox, an agent needs to adjust the position, and so forth, it spent a lot of time. Sometimes, in bad luck, the agent can try and change 3 or 4 packing boxes to meeting all packing requirements.

Therefore, it is necessary to define a Method of Proactive Packing Assistant IoT Service for solving above problems.

The core idea in this paper is to define a Method of Proactive Packing Assistant IoT Service for enhancing packing process. The3-D scanner can be used to help a packing agent to choose a right packing box based on ordered items sizes. The detailed implementation include: front-end and back-end services.
