Users are often required to take electronic actions (e.g., go to websites, documents, etc.) that are requested via mobile communications. A method is needed to help users quickly take the requested actions.

The novel solution is a cognitive system and method that passively monitor electronic communications (e.g., text messages, social media, etc.) for suggested/predicted actions. The system then dynamically displays on the user interface (UI) the button/link/prompt to complete the action, which expedites the process for the user. The system can consider both the context and actions/verbs to project whether the action suggested can be surfaced within the UI.

The system can also contain a learning engine that monitors the user's actions subsequent to the presented action, in order to determine whether the context matches the actions. This allows the system to establish new patterns, which can be held in a cloud repository. Any gathered metadata can be generic (i.e., not user specific) and applied for future use.

For example, a user types an action, "Connect with me on LinkedIn", which initiates the system to identify any direct link that it can render to complete that action. If the system identifies a link, then it dynamically hyperlinks the action. (Figures 1 and 2) If the system projects a high percentage of accuracy based on the weighting/factors considered, it dynamically sends a hyperlink action prior to sending the message. Prior to sending, the sender can touch/click on the presented action to verify the link for display to the receiver(s). After the user taps send, one of two options occurs in the UI, based on the sender's and/or receiver's preferences: the system displays the action button below or in place of the text or the system hyperlinks the text, so the user can click it to take action.
