Abstract

1. ABSTRACT LFS Pin: Light installation – Fast installation – Slim cost installation The LFS-Pin design allows the application of system installation in any vehicle, e.g. aircrafts, automotive, etc. It saves weight, installation time and can be used as a repair solution as well. Instead of using a riveted anchor nut, screws and washers, the LFS-design allows a very easy way of fixation. It is clicked into an existing hole and can be locked by a removable and reusable pin (see Fig. 1). The pin may have a round head which ensures a save and solid installation of the LFS pin (see Fig. 1). An adapter plate with a toothed structure may be used with the installation of the LFS-pin. This allows adjusting the LFS-pin along 360 degrees in any direction (see Fig. 2). A spacer, using the LFS-principle, maybe used to bridge specific distances. Equipped with a toothed adapter plate according to Fig. 2, the 360 degree adjustment may be used for the space as well (see Fig. 3). A multi adjustable LFS-pin solution (see Fig. 4 and Fig. 5) may be used to install all kind of cables, pipes, etc. The fixation of the multi adjustable LFS-pin solution via adhesive saves installation time and weight and is very flexible in its configuration. The interface of the multi adjustable LFS-Pin solution to the vehicle structure can be done by specific multi adjustable clamping brackets (see Fig. 6). To ensure a permanent fixation, the installation can be secured and fastened by using adhesive. Alternative Fig. 7 shows two examples of the usage of a multi adjustable LFS-Pin solution. The LFS principle offers flexibility and allows the combination of different LFS-pin configurations.

The LFS-Pin design allows the application of system installation in any vehicle, e.g. aircrafts, automotive, etc. It saves weight, installation time and can be used as a repair solution as well.
