Cognitive Recipient Assignment for Emails based on Subject Matter Score Matching

A method is needed that allows an email application user to select an appropriate recipient(s) of an email based on the subject and body content of the email.

Existing solutions can identify recipient(s) based on the subject of an email and a straight mapping of recipient from a database. No current process uses scores to find the best match and train the engine during the process.

The novel contribution is a method and an associated algorithm for choosing the best email recipient based on the historical subject and body content of emails sent within the organization.

The solution is a two-process approach, applying predictive and learning processes.

Predictive Process: 1. User sends an email to the Predictive System (predicter@example.com) 2. Predictive system scans the email to collect the keywords 3. Predictive system creates a score for each keyword in the email 4. Predictive system finds a match in the database with a user whose cumulative
