A Method and System for Performing Geofence Campaign Analysis to Remove a Geofence Unassociated with a Marketing Campaign

Disclosed is a method and system for performing geofence campaign analysis to remove a geofence unassociated with a marketing campaign. The method and system performs a lookup to determine whether a geofence is associated with a marketing campaign or not and removes the unassociated geofence.

The method and system enables a user to create geofences in the user’s favorite location by using a favorite location management tool. Subsequently, the method and system also allows the user to create marketing campaigns in the user’s favorite location by using the favorite location management tool, which is location aware and associated with one of the geofences. Further, the user heads over to a location management software to view the geofences.

The method and system performs a lookup over the geofences created by the user and determines whether each of the geofences is associated with one of the marketing campaigns or not. If the system identifies that the geofences are associated with the marketing campaigns, the method and system does not perform any changes to the geofences. Similarly, if the system identifies that any of the geofences are not associated with the marketing campaign, then the method and system gathers historical information about previous campaigns associated with the geofences and visually updates that there is no association with the marketing campaign. Here, the method of indicating the unassociated geofences can be represented in a change of outline color or immediately turning the respective unassociated geofences to red. For instance, the method and system also represents the geofences with purple color to indicate that the geofences were recently associated with the marketing campaign and are now unassociated with the marketing campaign by varying the colors from orange to yellow and then to red.

Thus, the method and system suggests for removal of respective geofences unassociated with the marketing campaign. Later, the method and system enables location management software to display a warning message that the geofences are not associated with the marketing campaign.
