Abstract

The idea is to implement a system that help to visualize the appartenance of a resource to a network or a network topology. As shown in fig 1, intelligent LEDs can be positioned on a resources. This can be added or integrated. In figure 2 we show how the LEDs are connected to a LED Coordinator. The LED coordinator is responsible for applying the right color (find in the LED Management Database) to the corresponding LEDs. The Database can be any component able to store a network id, LED id and associated color.

In figure 3 we are showing the basic of the methodology.

The overall idea is to use the Internet of Thing technology to position intelligent LEDs on IT resources and to apply a color on the LED, corresponding to a specific network Without any manipulation, it will then easy to know on which network a resource belong.
