ABSTRACT

Described herein is a network swarming intelligence (NSI) service that enables

proactive recommendation and preemptive service request creation through swarm

intelligence. This NSI service is built on a swarming intelligence platform that is created

by several diversified sources of a given network product. Machine learning agents may

be created for products to be supported and improved. Over a period of time, these agents

learn and collaborate to enable the system to provide information that can assist in

providing bug resolutions, recommendations, and preemptive support services.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

A short time after deployment of network equipment at customer sites, a

product/service may generate thousands of service requests. Some providers may provide

technical support only to key customers (e.g., customers that generate significant revenue

for the provider) to ensure strong continuing business relationships. However, technical

support may be unavailable for other, “non-key” customers (e.g., new business,

customers without significant funds, etc.). For example, the provider may have only

limited expert resources or insufficient knowledge as to how a customer uses a product.

However, strong customer service is important, and providers should not filter

customers on the basis of whether they are “key.” As a result, providers that supply the

networking market with wide ranges of products should make an effort to provide

customers with the strong services and recommendations. This enables customers to

utilize products as best serves them.

Described herein is a network swarming intelligence (NSI) service, which is an

algorithm that enables proactive recommendation and preemptive service request creation

through swarm intelligence. The swarming intelligence utilizes group intelligence by

establishing a connecting link via a networking platform that continuously learns through

deep neural networking models.

In an example, a product is deployed at various customer premises with a

connecting link (e.g., a deep neural network (DNN)), which amplifies intelligence by

mining knowledge from configuration changes, defects in the products, frequent feature

enablements that lead to increases in service request, and other sources.

This platform consists of two key agents:
