Abstract

Vehicles to have an antenna, which would take images of the traffic jams. Each vehicle to have its unique number and the identify which other vehicles are surrounding it. Vehicles to have the information of what is the driver expertise. All this data is relayed to the server, which analyzes the complete scenario of the jam and accordingly suggests each vehicle to move left, right, forward or back. If any vehicle comes in proximity of the jam it gets the same message from the last vehicle in the queue. Similarly if a vehicle does not abide by the instruction provided by the server, a negative point is taken for the driver and the vehicle.

Background:

With the booming auto industry, traffic jams are very common. There is no one who does not see at least one jam throughout the day. Here the topping of this jam is when people do not abide by the traffic rules and tend to go in wrong directions or take turns or being the first one to move. This creates additional problems wherein all get stuck, and people have to step out of their vehicle, and help in traffic management.

There are solutions as people stepping out of the vehicles to help in jam clearance. But this is not the best way, as they have to leave their vehicles driverless which often creates problems. And all the people supporting come from a perspective to get it clear in a manner, so that they can have their vehicle moved out first.

Additional solution is that people are prompted that there is traffic jam ahead, so that they can slow down.

Here an additional solution is required, to help in the clearance of the jams. So that the jam data is gathered, processed to analyze the best possible manner for clearance.

The advantages of this approach are : No manual mode of operation required in getting traffic jams cleared. Quicker mode of clearance of traffic jams, as all vehicles in the jam are proposed a uniform approach, rather than an individual approach. Driver experience is taken in account, while sending instructions. Negative points for driver and vehicles would ensure that vehicles follow the instructions from the server.

Novelty Pieces: Vehicles capturing the information of jam, nearby vehicles and driver expertise and sending it to the server. Analysis of the gathered data to propose a solution based on which instructing vehicles to move accordingly.
