This innovation addresses to resolve issues related to two areas of pharmacy operations:

· Drug inventory management: drug inventory management focuses on either maximizing member experience/quality with a limit on the drug inventory cost, or minimizing drug inventory cost with a limit on member experience/quality value. This is done on pharmacy operation level, which is not optimal. Neither member experience is met nor the cost picture.

· Drug use management: pharmacists spend a lot of time reviewing data to find cost-effective drug therapy, for evaluating cost-effective prescribing, for implementing and supporting clinician decisions.

The novel solution is to enable health care personnel and pharmacists to make pharmacy management decisions using real-time data. This solution comprises a system that acts as a pharmacy management decision adviser.

This approach combines two technologies to address the problem areas: · The Hyperledger Fabric technology (on Integrated DevOps tools for Cloud

Platform). The key concept is to obtain real-time aggregation of pharmacy data. This distributed ledger eliminates data silos and aggregates transactions in real time or near real time. This technology ensures interoperability, accessibility, data integrity, and privacy and security. The system uses the Hyperledger Fabric ledger to aggregate prescription data for members, prescription filling records, provider (or prescriber) information, drug information, and the inventory status of the pharmacy for the drugs dispensed, including drug procurement data.

· Natural Language Processing (NLP)/Machine Learning (ML) Systems Analytics. This component provides data analysis and visualization services to organize and refine data, discover patterns and insights, and perform statistical correlations, predictions, and key driver analysis. The processes for NLP/ML Systems Analytics help identify drug inventory positions for a pharmacy given key drivers. In addition, the processes explore aggregated pharmacy data to discover patterns for cost-effective drug therapy. It also provides a decision support system for clinicians.

The Hyperledger Fabric addresses the data challenges by aggregating prescription-filled records with identities (i.e., member and provider) and consents, which transcends data silos. The system records individual pharmacy medicine inventory positions and links those to a dispensed prescription. Thus, a centralized Hyperledger Fabric ledger is the accurate master record that is up-to-date in real-time or almost real-time (in case the a local pharmacy system is Hyperledger Fabric enabled as opposed to based-on ).
