The idea expressed here is that: The user can set up allergies used by a Smartphone payment system using a health

tracking application on their phone. The application could have easy to use buttons / check boxes for common allergies.

Smartphone payment system refuses the transaction for items that contain banned ingredients.

The system differentiates snack items to enable the level of refusal in snack vending to be differentiated from using smartphone based payment in the weekly supermarket shop.

We envisage this idea being implemented in the phone as this can: provide rich information to the user.1. without the need for any changes to traditional payment systems.2. and prevents private information being given to third parties.3.

However the idea can be implemented at any point in the transaction chain - for example it could be offered by the vending machine supplier or catering company via a user account feature, as a feature of a bank's credit card account or in something like an prepayment system card etc. or in the credit card payment systems. It provides a differentiating feature at any of these points that can treat a user as a individual.
