Abstract

Nowadays, photos have played an important role in conveying and sharing certain information on social media platforms. One of the renown function for photo management on social media platforms is tagging. With photo tagging, end users are able to identify members in their community, inducing convenience for handling complex networks of people. Taking a step further, the method addressed in this publication helps to associate profile identification with certain groups of people or event by providing suggestions to end users the suitable group or event tag, which is generated by a algorithm that determines the degree of relativeness of a group and a set of users.

When uploading large amount of pictures onto a social media platform , it is troublesome for the user to keep track and sort these pictures into different groups or events. Furthermore, it is hard for users to quickly find a particular (set of) picture(s) from a batch of pictures

The core idea is to automatically provide group/event tag suggestion

Advantage: When a user is uploading photos onto a social medial platform , the user is able to tag the photos with the most relevant group or event without searching for the tag manually.
