Abstract

A method and system is disclosed for automatically creating mash-up music or songs by dynamically analyzing a set of songs and determining which songs work well with other songs. The method and system evaluates parameters pertaining to a song such as, but not limited to, a tone, tempo, harmonics and dynamically creates live mash-up songs without missing a beat.

Method and System for Dynamically Creating Music Mash -up

Mash-up music or songs are usually created by mixing two or more existing songs. Existing methods for creating mash-up involve a manual process and is thus, time consuming and labor-intensive.

The manual process includes engineers analyzing each song which the engineers are trained to hear and the engineers, then, determine an instrumental from a song that works well with a vocal from another song.

Thus, there exists a need for a method and system for automatically creating mash-up without manual intervention.

Disclosed is a method and system for automatically creating mash-up music or songs by dynamically analyzing a set of songs and determining which songs work well with other songs. The method and system evaluates parameters pertaining to a song such as, but not limited to, a tone, tempo, harmonics and dynamically creates live mash-up songs without missing a beat.

The Figure below illustrates a process flow for creating a mash-up song in accordance with an embodiment of the method and system.
