Abstract

Method and Framework for power generation through train wheels and tracks that can be used for wireless charging of central electric storage of train engine. Storage feed this power into the engine reducing the need of external electric supply or coal based power for the engine to run the train. The engine will get the electrical energy through wireless charging. Central electric storage of train can also feed to train lighting, fan, AC and charge the storage battery in railway platforms through smart circuit, predcitive engine and micro controller switches.

Today, we are living in 21st century which is the world of innovation and technology. The innovations evidently requires technology fueled by energy. This energy is provided us by means of conventional sources of energy like coal. Nowadays, non-conventional sources are in use as an alternative to conventional sources but many are having certain limitations like pollution, harmful to use for long run etc. To preserve the energy now we need to use non-conventional sources of energy as much as we can. So in our daily to daily life we need to start using non-conventional energy but it should have minimum limitations. Such a non-conventional energy is PIEZOELECTRICITY.

As we all know that the Indian Railway is the world’s Second Largest Railway Network. It comprises of a Railway Route of nearly 1,15,000 km which is covered by a Railway Track of 65,000km. Why not leverage such a vast infrastructure to generate energy? Use of piezoelectric materials in train’s tracks and wheels to generate the electricity which can be used for train engine, lighting, fan, AC and also feed to charge the storage battery in railway platforms when trains stops. The electric produced will be stored in centralized storage of engine and will be used in substitute of coal. Thus the energy which was wasted in past now can be utilized and can be alternate source of energy.

Core idea is to embed piezoelectric material and transducers in the train wheels and tracks so that power can be generated and can be used for wireless charging of central electric storage of train engine. This can be then fed into the engine reducing the need of external electric supply or coal based power for the engine to run the train. The engine will get the electrical energy through wireless charging. The energy produced can also feed to train lighting, fan, AC and charge the storage battery in railway platforms.

The method and framework: Leverages the energy produced by train through wheel and tracks to convert into electrical energy  and avoiding the use of coal Leverage the power generated to train lighting, fan, AC and charge the storage battery in railway  platforms through intelligent and wireless circuits. Provides a smart predictive engine to forecast the generated power in near real time and based on  the storage of the power in the train dynamically decide if the smart circuit will feed to one or multiple following consumption points:

There are many advantages as it is the new method of generating the electrical energy. The method doesn’t require any additional input source (e.g. coal, hydro, solar, wind etc.) for  generation of electricity.
