Problem Addressed 

Invisible hearing implants require the charging of the implant battery from time to time, most favourable for the recipient during the night. The charging can be done whilst sleeping using a large coil or a set of coils that is embedded inside the bed pillow or mattress.

These types of charging systems may quickly become complex for several reasons such as the integration of the coils inside the bed pillow or mattress, mechanical stress, complicated wiring of the coil array, mesh networks, resonant tank tuning difficulties, the need of multiple decentralized active electronic circuits, too-high magnetic fields and radiated emission levels (EMC limits), the need of an intelligent implant tracking mechanism, the need of a backlink, etc.

Description (Components, Process)

The submersed button approaches the mass/volume or density of the water. This allows the lowest energy to move from point A to point B. The submersed charger button has a strong centralized magnet and automatically attaches to the best implant coil position. This allows the best power efficiency and data communication. During the day, the submersed button recharges either wirelessly or wired (e.g., a docking, remotely, etc.).
