A framework for allowing user defined asynchronous task to handling security intelligence. The framework supports advanced analytics to chain multiple incidents together and identify security offenses requiring action.

Disclosed is a framework for allowing user defined asynchronous task to handling security intelligence. The framework supports advanced analytics to chain multiple incidents together and identify security offenses requiring action.

The disclosed approach identifies a framework that allows end users to add user defined actions with minimum training utilizing the Java language.

The approach is to use standard Java concurrency syntax which allows users to easily create a Task that will automatically ensure it is being tracked. The advantage is that it requires no extra training besides some basic Java concurrency knowledge. In addition, a task does not have to be created through the framework, although that is possible as well. A task can run on any system in a network and can be tracked on that system itself, or via the network master system.
