TITLE: System and method of registering and analysing IOT vehicle parts in the external block chain datastore to gurantee safe and economic usage Abstract Condition of vehicle parts has a huge impact on safe and economic usage of the vehicle. Proper maintenance of vehicle parts is a key safety and economic factor in vehicle usage. Vehicle parts and vehicle maintenance is usually tracked by maintenance services using different service books and data stores. In some vehicles parts are not as often replaced as required, and also no reliable history about such replacements is stored anywhere. In addition the vehicle part replacement history can be easily faked. This leads to uncertain vehicle history which impacts buyers, insurance companies and mostly the safety of people using the vehicles, as well as economic usage of such vehicles. In highly regulated transportation industries like air travel, train travel, long haul trucking and shipping, the cost of maintaining detailed records as well as a chain of custody for those records is quite high. What is needed is a method of securely collecting and storing this data from ITO connected components which can not be faked or tampered with. Blockchain technology is the ideal solution to this problem as it allows a decentralized network of processing nodes to securely validate all transactions and ensure the authenticity of the data. The solution to that problem is to have replaceable parts produced as the IOT devices, which can send information about their status (like how much particular part is used) and store it within blockchain data structure. The information about the vehicle parts is analyzed by the vehicle capabilities assessment engine, which limits the capabilities of the vehicle to guarantee it's safety and economy. Replacement of the part is also stored in the block-chain data store, and the complete history and information is accessible by interested recipients. (insurance, safety, rental, retail companies etc.) This will guarantee continuity of the history of vehicle parts replacement, which is crucial for safety in modern transportation.
