Abstract: This article describes an easy and cost effective way to provide quick user guidance

for products, especially medical equipment. With such quick user guidance, users may be

capable of using most functions by taking a glance at the user interface of the product without

the need of opening the thick user manual or taking the training.

Operations of medical equipment are usually more complicated as compared to consumer

products. Even for the same type of medical equipment, such as x-ray diagnostic systems, the

user interface and/or operations may be greatly difference from each other, especially those

from different manufactures. Thus, medical equipment is normally shipped with a thick user

manual comprising hundreds or thousands of pages. With such a thick user manual, it is not

easy for the user to be familiar with the operations, even for those basic operations, in a very

quick and fast way.

This article describes a novel simple film instruction which enables the user to know at least

those basic operations or user interface instructions/functions by taking a quick glance,

probably within a few minutes.

The simple film instruction is basically a transparent or semi-transparent film adhesive on the

user interface and quick user guidance is printed on such a film. Preferably, the film can be

peeled off very easily.
