Abstract

The invention relates generally to smart products and in particular to systems and method for providing an indoor smart lamp system. The system may include a lighting fixture that may be incorporated with one or more sensor modules as required to enable the smart lamp system. The lighting fixture may include a sensor host unit that may include a USB hub for connecting the one or more sensor modules, a central controller board to collect and process the sensor data and a single board PC for connectivity purposes. The sensor host unit is also configured to perform data validation and authentication functions and may communicate with the sensors and the cloud. The single-board PC uploads the measured sensor data to the cloud server through a gateway. The advantages of the invention are that the system may be customized and may have improved productivity.

BACKGROUND

The invention relates generally to smart products and in particular to systems and method for providing an indoor smart lamp system. Smart products incorporate integrated sensors and communication units. Customers, while purchasing a smart product may not have enough knowledge of the entire functionality of the product to make proper decisions. The customer may also have to buy the product with the built in specification that may include functionalities that may not be of any use to the customer. Also, the customer may require more functions to be attached to the built in specification. With integrated sensors the product might not be of any use later when incorporated for a different functionality. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS The invention discloses systems and method for providing an indoor smart lamp system that may connect to one or more sensor modules in which: FIG. 1 shows the luminaire housing for smart lamp system.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION

The invention discloses systems and method for providing an indoor smart lamp system that may connect to one or more sensor modules. The system may include a lighting fixture that may be incorporated with one or more sensor modules as required. The smart lamp system as shown in FIG. 1 comprises a luminaire housing that may include a sensor host unit attached in it. The sensor host unit may connect one or more sensors to the luminaire. The sensor host unit as shown in FIG. 2 includes a USB hub for connecting the one or more sensor modules. The unit further comprises a central controller board that collects and processes the sensor data and a single board computer for connectivity purposes. The sensor host unit is also configured to perform functions that may include data validation, authentication and also to perform secure communication with the sensors and the cloud.
