Abstract

Feedthms are widely used to isolate noise critical As seen in Figure 1, feedthru pins are soldered to circuit. Ever increasing demands for miniaturization the circuit board which has interleaving solder pads on and for reduction of electromagnetic interference the both sides of the board. All holes are plated. The require feedthru pins configurated with shorter interleaving solder pads are placed so that they do not cylinder spaced closely. When feedthru pins are overlap each other if they are seen through the board. placed closely with respect to each other, they are That leaves space between a pin and the soldering pad prone to solder wicking. If it occurs, it may cause on either one of the sides. This space prevents solder short between two pins. It happens more often to the wicking between two pins. The feedthru pin is short cylinder feedthru pins. This invention reduces secured by solder on the other side of the board and opportunities of solder wicking between adjacent the hole. Thruholes provide path so that both sides of feedthm pins. the ground plain has same potential.
