The Doctor's Prescription Link provides a method for doctors to submit patient prescriptions, via a remote connection, directly to the pharmacy or other processing station. Information would be transmitted, via an RF (radio frequency) link or via cellular com- munication, to a data receiver in a computer at the pharmacy. The information can then be printed or displayed for access by the pharmacy staff. By employing this device, time and mistakes can be reduced by eliminating illegible handwriting problems and filling prescriptions immediately upon doctor confirmation. Also, time needed for pharmacy accounting and inventory can be reduced.
