Abstract

As technology continues to shrink the electronic components that go into pagers, the pager housing can become a convenient place to store other articles people wish to carry with them. With the volume required for the pager circuitry steadily reducing, additional space becomes available within the housing which can be uti- lized to provide storage space for a variety of items, or even be specially designed to accommodate specific arti- cles. Other portable electronic devices, such as telephones and portable stereos, could also be placed in housings or cabinets that are larger than necessary to accommodate other items. Several examples of what could be done with the extra space in a pager housing follow.
