Abstract

High speed chip mounters when running at full speed can place approximately 25000 parts per hour. The current support systems are rigid metal tool- ing pins or kit/board specific metal nest plates. This requires a change for each board or kit run on the line. Parts can be damaged as a result of contacting the metal tooling.
