Glass joining method using induction heating

A method for joining glass by means of a coated metal. Said metal becomes hot during induction heating. This results in a phase transition of the coating, or a chemical reaction between coating and glass that results in a seal between the two glass parts. For example the front glass and reflector of a Parabolic Reflector hard-glass lamp can be sealed together in this way. Suitable material for the purpose of sealing is a metal wire coated with enamel.
