Description
� � � � � The disclosed method
is power basis shift detection (see Figure 1). The method monitors the system
configuration via the device manager. The method also monitors the dominant
workloads the user encounters, such as system idle and DVD and notes the power
level via the smart battery.
� � � � � When drivers or
software are loaded, the power level is compared to data stored from previous
situations can be made to detect if a shift in the base power level has
occurred.
� � � � � If a deviation
threshold from the previous power level is crossed (+/-), an organization
dedicated to power friendly drivers and software could be notified via the
Internet. Software could also be included to resolve deviant programs and
drivers as well.
