A method to automatically modify all dependent code within an IDE

Disclosed is a program designed to alleviate code dependency problem in an IDE. Using a typical IDE, in a large project, when a number of developers work together as a team, the following problem frequently arises. A developer modifies a piece of code that may effect many other dependent code modules. Now, all these other code module owners have to be notified about the code change, and then their code has to be manually updated by their respective owners to handle the change.

The idea is to provide an additional functionality in an IDE. This functionality will be invoked whenever a programmer makes a change to a method signature or an attribute in a class and saves that change. The IDE will check through all the related dependent classes in the project and automatically make the appropriate changes to fix the compile errors. There will be flexibility to turn this functionality on or off using the IDE preferences or settings.
