Lead-out wire having unround cross-section

Disclosed are differently shaped lead-out wires of for example (doped) molybdenum or (doped) tungsten, for incandescent and/or discharge lamps. The shapes comprise, triangular, trapezium, semi-circle, etc.. In particular interesting shapes are shapes that do not have “dead”-corners at PVD- or galvanized pinch leads. The lead-wires thus are suitable for laser welding and can be coated prior to welding. A further advantage is that said lead-wires can be fixed in the seal of the lamps.
