Abstract

Disclosed is a manufacturing process of the metal bezel for the LCD (liquid crystal display), which becomes low cost and more robust than that of the current process. Figure shows an example of the disclosed new manufacturing process of the metal bezel for the LCD, and the details of each processes are as follows, In the 1st process, metal base plate is pressed to a long and narrow trapezoid of which a long base is the quite same length as an outline of the bezel, a short base is about five millimeters shorter than an open area of the bezel, and width (height) is about two millimeters longer than width of the bezel. In the 2nd process, the trapezoid metal plate is welded on both edges together, therefore it changes into a frustum of a cone of which a small circumference is about five millimeters shorter than an open area of the bezel and a big circumference is the quite same length as an outline of the bezel. In the 3rd process, the frustum of a cone is pressed to box shape by using a press machine again. The bezel completes except the open area after 3rd process. Finally in the 4th process, it is pressed to make the open area by using a press machine further. And the bezel fully completes.
