Method to Increase the Flexibility of Web Browser Forward and Backward Buttons The proposed is a software method to extend the flexibility of an internet browser's forward and backward buttons. The internet browser would enhance the forward and backward buttons to include sub trees of URLs visited or URLs pointed to from a downloaded URL. This would allow the user to select via the backward or forward buttons any URL that the user had visited during the current invocation of the web browser. The proposed method would collect all the URLs that had been visited during the current web browser invocation. The proposed method would in addition optionally collect all the URLs pointed to by the currently displayed URL. The web browser would build in memory a tree structure of these collected URL locations. Since the tree structure is only in memory the web browser would start with an empty tree when the web browser is started.
