A program is disclosed that a pointer expression by which the selected color of an application (ex. drawing application) is understood easily. When the pointer is in an application window, it is drawn with the selected color of the application. For example, when RED is selected for a drawing application, the pointer is drawn with the color in the application window. When the color selected in the application is changed, the pointer's color is changed to it after the new color is available in the application in order to avoid misunderstanding of the current selected color. Even when the application is not focused, the pointer's color is changed to the current selected one whenever the pointer is in the application's window area.
