Alignment plates, used for module and solder ball to pogo pin alignment can be of modular design. A standard pitch and array size base alignment grid can be coupled with a unique module guide or 'frame' to replace a single precision machined part. This is accomplished using dowels to offset the base alignment grid under a module guide 'frame' for precision placement of both odd even module pin I/O arrays. This two piece design allows for the more difficult base piece to be a standard repeat order the top 'frame' to be the unique, made to order part. Quality small hole drilling of the base alignment part can be more easily achieved. Volume discount for the base alignment part is possible. Stocking base parts for future orders increases turn around time. Blanks of the simple 'frame' part can also be stocked and machined to order, increasing turn around time. 1
