Abstract

A program is disclosed a method of section expanding and collapsing in consideration of the display area. This method enables a user to see information on the selected section as much as possible and to get a big picture view of the information instantly with only one operation. When a screen cannot display all content at once in order to a restriction of the display area, there are a method to divide the information into sections and display these sections in a collapsed state. A user can display or hide the information by expanding or collapsing a section. There are three given method to expand a section as follows: (1) Expanding all sections of the information (2) Expanding all descendant sections of the selected section (3) Expanding a child section of the selected section When the information has many contents, however, there are some problems; (1) and (2) unable a user to get a big picture view of the information because information of descendant sections overflow, and (3) has poor usability because a user needs another operation to get information on grandchildren or other descendants. A method disclosed in this document can resolve these problems.
