Abstract

Disclosed is a finger print detection mechanism within a key pad of a computing device such as a laptop, PDA computing devices or ATM machines. This finger print device would identify an individual who is using the key pad of the computing device. The finger print detection mechanism is able to determine the identity of a user of a computing device. The ability to detect the particular individual using a computing device is vital when security is important. Unlike typical password protection (where the password could be stolen), a finger print detection mechanism embedded into a key pad accurately detects the identity of an individual throughout the time the individual interacts with the computing device.
