Intelligent brake light system for cars

To make the brake light of cars safer, the following modifications are applied. The brake lights are activated (a) when the deceleration of the car is bigger than a certain threshold, (b) or when the driver brakes while the speed of the car is lower than a threshold or (c) when the driver pushes the brake pedal without any deceleration resulting because of ice or oil on the road.

To increase the ability of the other traffic to judge how fast the car is decelerating, the light output of the brake lights of a car is increased when the deceleration of the car increases.
