This is a method and system to call the nearest taxi by using GPS and the mobile function of cellular-phone. Although using a taxi is convenient, it takes a time to pick up a taxi by waiting for a taxi to pass on the street. In bad weather or when one has many baggages, it become harder. However, calling for a taxi in unknown area can be difficult, as you need to know the telephone number of the taxi company. user must find several telephone numbers from a telephone directory. This is very inconvenient. Therefore, for efficiently catching a taxi which is in the vicinity, this TAXI CALL SYSTEM using GPS and MOBILE function of cellular-phone(like i-mode*1 phone) was invented. *1: i-mode is a registered trademark of NTT DoCoMo Corporation.

Following is the workflow of this invention. 
1. When catching a taxi, sending the position to the center by using the mobile function  of a cellular phone with GPS (the number of person, a destination, etc. can be inputted  as an option). If the cellular phone does not have GPS, it is possible to input the  address instead of GPS. 

2.The application system in the center receive the request.  It searchs and probes the nearest taxi from user, and the application system sends the  message that there is the customer who is searching a taxi nearby. 

3. taxi drivers send the response whether OK or refusal on car navigator. 

4. The system center sends the URL to the user. On the URL, center shows taxi list and  the user see it.  getting response from taxi, it changes 'Active' sign on the list.

5. The user chooses one of 'Active' taxis on the cellular-phone.

6. Choosed taxi receive information on car navigator. the customer's position is  displayed  in it automatically,

7. Taxi can go direct immediately and get the customer.
