A method of producing a decal-like transfer using xero- graphy, and employing existing copy machines, The toner image to be transferred is initially xerographically formed onto a wax surface and fused thereon, by using sheets of waxed paper as the copy sheets in a conventional copying operation with conventional toner. When decal transfer is subsequently desired, the image on the waxed paper is sprayed with a spray-contact adhesive and pressed into place on the final support. The wax surface backing sheet is then peeled off. A spray coating of release agent and paint may be applied to the image. This process allows an application of a xerographic image to a three-- dimensional object, etc.
