Abstract

In' electrophotographic printing machine, a sheet of paper has a toner powder image transferred thereto. The sheet of paper advances along a sheet path. Frequently, if the humidity conditions are excessive, the moisture results in paper curling. Paper curling produces sheet jams in the printing machine. This problem may be reduced by controlling the humidity or moisture content of the sheet, The moisture content of the copy paper is controlled by heating apparatus 10, Heating apparatus 10 includes a power supply 12 electrically connected to blower 14, Power supply 12 also energizes a 100 watt resistor 16 disposed in manifold 18 connected to blower 14, Manifold 18 is connected to mani-~ fold 20 which has slots 22 extending substantially parallel to the longitudinal axis thereof, In this way, the air flow from blower 14 passes over resistor 16 and is heated, The
