Abstract

On occasion, copy paper exiting from a xerographic machine where a heated fuser is used will curL This is caused by the heat of the fuser which dries the paper- To reduce this effect, cool air can be blown at the copy paper to reduce the amount of time that the paper is at an elevated temperature and thus reduce the amount of drying- Detectors, such as pressure switches or photocelis, may be utilized to determine whether the exit copy sheets are curled and to control the flow of airs
