Abstract
Toners of crystalline resins having inorganic fillers included therein exhibit lower heat capacity, lower crystalline heat of fusion and lower crystalline melting point without significantly altering the degree of crystallinity.
XEROX DISCLOSURE JOURNAL
Toners of crystalline resins having inorganic fillers included therein exhibit lower heat capacity, lower crystalline heat of fusion and lower crystalline melting point without significantly altering the degree of crystallinity.
Reduction in these properties and particularly the reduction in melting point is of importance in all types of fusing subsystems including radiant fusers, heated pressure roll fusers and flash fusers. Suitable fillers include glass fibers, mica, alumina, calcium carbonate, bentonite clay, silica, calcium silicate, carbon black, titanium dioxide, talc and zinc oxide.
